The problem is on the inside. Disgusting. The trains will be trashed within a week or two. They don't clean on weekends, and security is non-existent. You don't even have to pay to ride anymore; the gates are left open, and you can just walk in right in front of the employees. They don't care. Once, I was buying a ticket, and a girl loudly called me an idiot for paying. People smoke weed, drink alcohol, and drop their trash. I get it, it's the city, and there will be some of this. But after riding the full length of the Baltimore subway for 10 years, I can tell you it's worse than ever and it's attracting the worst. Cameras are useless, crime is up, rules are non-existent, and no one cares. In fact, employees sit in the booth and let it happen. I don't blame them when they don't have backup security. I'm sure their motivation is destroyed as well. I do want to say that the majority of the employees are extremely nice when you interact with them. It's not them, it's the system and management. I also want to note that I have had some fantastic conversations on the Baltimore Subway with a wide variety of extremely nice people, from a guy moving his home on a cart to Hopkins employees (which I see less of now). However, just leaving it open and free with zero concern? It's a sign that it's worse than ever from the top down.

I do not know how to store the tickets for a long time. I bought one-way tickets in advance, but they all expired 90 minutes after I bought them.

This morning I brought in all my documents and was denied my license for renewal because I am not citizen, and my green card is on file. And I have been paying tax in this country also have an original Social Security card. So now I must lose my job and cannot take care of my three daughters. 🙏🏿

I work in commerical HVAC-R technician and these "ionizers" are 110% what we in the trade call snake oil. It's 100% a scam and does nothing.

I have always been fascinated with transportation systems. I don't know if they do this now but I noticed years ago they would put the system in auto and it would automatically stop at the next stop and keep at the exact speed limit while doing it. I found that neat. You could always tell manual mode because the subway driver would always go a bit fast, hear the beep and then slow down.

Don't bother downloading the app. No one actually collects fare. I ride the light rail, bus, and metro rail quite regularly and have never been asked for fare.

Transit bus operators please stop wearing ball caps it looks very unprofessional and dorky. Go back to the service caps. They look so much more professional.

Whats starting pay for bus operator

We have this massive vacant commercial real estate problem that is tied to the COLVID lockdowns an in this video the amount of education about ionization of the air was never explained to reduce people from told to stay home. I mean really. During COLVID I was like I’m going to research how to keep the air cleaned and purified as much as possible so I’m feeling safe from unhealthy air. Order two very good negative ion generators. Learned they are important psychological to removing positive ions from electrical devices negating depression disorders. My smartest investment but sadly the vacant commercial real estate problem far exceeds my simpler solutions.

This seems to be aimed at 5th graders not our MDOT employees.
